Kendale’s Special Education (Horizons) Program provides students with disabilities a meaningful education in a safe and caring learning environment tailored to their Priority Educational Needs. Based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP), students are served in a Resource Classroom, with related services such as Speech and Language, Occupation, and/ or Physical Therapy.
The Horizons program sets the highest curriculum standards and is aligned with the Florida Standards. The SPED staff is highly trained and certified in the areas of Behavior Monitoring and Intervention, Inclusionary Practices, and they are dedicated to providing a learning-rich program, so that every child can achieve their potential regardless of their disability.
